Distracted Driving is like Driving Under the Influence
Don’t Get Distracted
Anything that diverts your attention from the task of driving a vehicle is Distracted Driving. This includes, talking to a passenger, having a conversation on a cell phone, fiddling with your infotainment system, eating, reaching for an object, playing with a navigation system and even tuning a car stereo.
NHSTA
On the National Highway Traffic Safety Administrations web site, they claim that 3,450 lives were lost in 2016 alone as a direct result of being distracted. Cell phones and infotainment systems are only increasing the opportunity we face to become distracted while driving a vehicle. We need to all do our part and help stop Distracted Driving, your loved ones and the NHTSA will thank you for it!
